Private Security

Private security is a rapidly expanding area of job opportunities. Since 9/11/2001 private security has grown substantially in size, scope and quality. Statistics on the national level indicate that there are more than twice as many private security jobs available than public law enforcement jobs.

Private security companies provide armed and unarmed security services and expertise to private and public clients. Employees may provide patrol and guard services, traffic regulation, and fire and theft prevention and detection.
